Actor the late Lee Yun-hee suddenly passed away, moving many people. She was 64. It was reported that she had no particular chronic illness, which made the shock even greater.

Born in 1960, the late actor began her acting career in 1985 with the play "Gukmul issaomnida." In 2007 she gave a powerful performance as "Elder Kang" in the film "Miryang," bringing her wider recognition.
She later appeared in supporting roles in films such as "The King of Swindle" (2012), "The Merciless" (2015), "The Mayor" (2017), and "Harodongseon" (2022). She also added vitality to productions across various genres with distinctive performances in works including "Save Me 2" (2019), "Black Dog" (2019), "Backstreet Rookie" (2020), Taxi Driver (2021), "Ten to One" (2020), The Killer's Shopping List (2022), "The Thief, the Sound of the Sword" (2023), "Seonsan" (2024), and Captivating the King (2024).
It was reported that the late actor had no chronic illness. What made the situation more tragic was that she had signed an exclusive contract with a new agency about two weeks before her death and had been preparing to resume activities in earnest.
At the time, the late actor's new agency, Beom Entertainment, posted on social media, "Today our company conveys the heartbreaking news of the passing of our artist Lee Yun-hee, and we are heavy-hearted," adding, "We offer our deepest condolences to the bereaved family, and to everyone who loved and cherished Lee Yun-hee and mourns with us during this sudden bereavement."
They continued, "Lee Yun-hee was a cherished figure who contributed to popular culture for a long time as an actor and was loved by many," and expressed their stunned feelings, "Her absence is a great loss to all of us."
The agency also said, "Through numerous works, Lee Yun-hee delivered sincere acting and warm emotion to the public," and added, "Beom Entertainment will cherish Lee Yun-hee's warm memories and achievements for a long time and do its best to honor her life and values." They appended a message of condolence, "Once again, we extend our deepest sympathies for the late person's final journey."
The late person's burial site is Ulsan Sky Park.<
