ZEROBASEONE (ZEROBASEONE) cemented its presence as a K-pop icon by winning at the Golden Disc Awards for the third consecutive year.
ZEROBASEONE (Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Jang Ha-o, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Gyubin, Park Geonwook, Han Yujin) won the album main prize at the 40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit held at Taipei Dome on the 10th.
Previously, they won the rookie award and the album main prize at the 38th Golden Disc Awards and the album main prize at the 39th Golden Disc Awards, making it three consecutive years of taking home a main prize trophy.
ZEROBASEONE said, "We are grateful to receive such a meaningful award. The reason ZEROBASEONE was able to receive this award is because of ZEROSE (the fandom name), who always supported us with boundless love and constant support. We will continue to give a lot of love to ZEROSE."
They added, "Thanks to ZEROSE, we were able to create such beautiful memories and achieve many results. All nine members will always keep this moment deeply in our hearts," and in particular, Park Geonwook, who celebrated his birthday that day, said, "Thank you for all the congratulations on this wonderful day. I consider it a birthday gift from ZEROSE. Thank you," expressing his overwhelming emotions.
That day, Sung Hanbin and Jang Ha-o opened with BoA's "Better," heating up the venue instantly with powerful synchronized choreography that matched the song's intense mood. A special stage exclusive to this event was also presented. Kim Taerae reinterpreted the enduring classic "Miso Soge Bichin Geudae" by Shin Seung Hun through the "Powerhouse Stage." Through delicate control of dynamics and Kim Taerae's characteristically clear and sweet tone, he delivered a sincere performance, reaffirming his vocalist qualities.
In the following main performance, ZEROBASEONE delivered a medley stage that stitched together past title tracks such as "In Bloom," "CRUSH (Gasi)," "Feel the POP," "GOOD SO BAD," "BLUE," and "ICONIK." With intense yet graceful performances that captured attention, their staging, which seemed to condense every moment of their journey, offered the audience deep emotion and resonance.
ZEROBASEONE reached the pinnacle of musical growth last year with mini-album 5 "Blue Paradise (BLUE PARADISE)" and full-length album 1 "Never Say Never (NEVER SAY NEVER)." ZEROBASEONE is the first K-pop group to have six consecutive albums listed as million sellers since their debut album, and they have emerged as an artist that became the first 5th-generation K-pop group to record cumulative album sales of more than 9 million copies.
Their presence was even clearer in major overseas music markets such as the United States and Japan. ZEROBASEONE set a personal record by entering the Billboard 200, Billboard's main album chart, at No. 23 with "Never Say Never," and in 2025 they earned back-to-back platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for their Japanese EP 1 "PREZENT" and special EP "ICONIK." Recently, they concluded the world tour "HERE&NOW," which drew about 150,000 spectators.
Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE will release the special limited album "RE-FLOW" on Feb. 2. Ahead of that, they pre-released the track "Running To Future" on the 9th, and on the 23rd they plan to pre-release the audio and music video of the second track.
