The group ENHYPEN proved their solid popularity by winning an award for six consecutive years at the Golden Disc Awards.
ENHYPEN (Jeongwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-ki) received the main prize in the album institutional sector for their mini album 6th "DESIRE : UNLEASH" at the 40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit held at Taipei Dome on the 10th. With this, they set a record of winning the album main prize every year from 2022 through this year after receiving the rookie award at this ceremony about 40 days after their debut in 2021.
ENHYPEN said they were very happy to receive such a meaningful award and promised to show their best in every album, and added, please show a lot of interest as the new album "THE SIN : VANISH" will be released on Jan. 16. That day ENHYPEN showcased their true worth as "performance kings" through three stages that exuded dark charisma. They performed "Bad Desire (With or Without You)," which contained an urbane and sexy charm, and "Daydream," which exuded a strong hip-hop sensibility, demonstrating overwhelming stage presence.
In the dance break they heightened immersion by expressing a chase scene as a performance. Starting with Ni-ki's charismatic appearance, choreography that embodied hiding and fleeing, and the pair dance by Sunoo and Jay reminiscent of an action scene created a tense atmosphere. Also, in the subsequent "Outside" stage, they filled the stage with varied elements including powerful dance, dynamic-sounding rap and energetic gang vocal.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will release their mini album 7th "THE SIN : VANISH" at 2 p.m. on the 16th. This album contains the narrative of lovers who break the taboo of a society where humans and vampires coexist and flee for love. The title track "Knife" is a hip-hop song expressing the lovers' confidence to stand up to any threat, characterized by punchy trap beats and sharp synth sounds.
