The group Close Your Eyes (CLOSE YOUR EYES, 클유아) took home their first trophy of the new year.
Close Your Eyes(Jeon Min-wook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeo-jun, Kim Seong-min, Song Seung-ho, Kenshin, Seo Kyung-bae) won the Golden Choice Award at the 40th Golden Disc Awards held at Taipei Dome on the 10th.
The Golden Disc Awards, which has marched alongside Korean popular music for 40 years, is a stage that settles the year for Korean popular music loved by the public, and since its inception in 1986 it has been a ceremony that has earned great trust from artists and the public.
Close Your Eyes, which won the Golden Choice Award given to artists whose future activities are highly anticipated, said, "We are grateful to receive such a meaningful award. Later, appearing in stylish costumes with a "Mad Max" concept, Close Your Eyes opened their stage with the debut album track "Close Your Eyes." Drawing attention with leader Jeon Min-wook's intro performance, they shifted the mood with "X," one of the double title tracks from mini album 3, and delivered dynamic choreography that filled the venue with enthusiastic cheers.
They also received explosive responses by showcasing a variety of songs loved by global fans, including the other mini album 3 title track "SOB." Along with powerful dance and energy matched to a sensuous beat, their precise group choreography that delivers a thrilling sensation properly proved their reputation as a "performance powerhouse."
In addition, Close Your Eyes further elevated the awards ceremony atmosphere by performing a special stage exclusive to the Golden Disc Awards, covering Big Bang's "Lies." They perfectly executed the addictive signature choreography in their own style, evoking memories and nostalgia and turning the venue into a frenzy of excitement.
Meanwhile, Close Your Eyes will open their debut solo concert tour "Beyond Your Eyes (BEYOND YOUR EYES)" in Seoul on the 31st and Feb. 1. They will then tour Tokyo on Feb. 10 and 11, Nagoya on the 13th, and Osaka on the 15th to meet global fans.
