Group ATEEZ (ATEEZ) received the honor of an award from the new year.
ATEEZ won the album institutional sector main prize with mini album 11 "Golden Hour: Part 2 (GOLDEN HOUR : Part.2)" at the 40th Golden Disc Awards held at Taipei Dome on the 10th.
The Golden Disc Awards, which has walked alongside Korea's popular music history for 40 years, is a ceremony that sums up the Republic of Korea's popular music that was loved by the public during the year, and has earned great trust from artists and the public since its inception in 1986.
Holding the album institutional sector main prize trophy in their arms, ATEEZ said immediately after winning, "With the Golden Hour series we spent golden moments with ATINY (official fandom name). Because ATINY was there, the moments were soaked in gold. Thank you for giving us this wonderful award, and this year we will happily give you wonderful music and performances."
Along with the award, ATEEZ captivated eyes and ears with a spectacular stage befitting the epithet "performance powerhouse." With the title track of the award-winning album, mini album 11 "Ice On My Teeth," they delivered a perfect stage that balanced visuals, live vocals and performance, fully demonstrating their true value as top performers.
They also drew a heated response by presenting smooth yet precise dance with the title track of the mini 12 album edition, "In Your Fantasy." With a captivating and sexy charm, they invited global fans into a fantasy, completely dominated the stage, and enhanced the performance's completeness with diverse gestures and relaxed stage manner.
Additionally, member Jongho poured out sweet and solid vocal power through a cover of Kim Kwang-seok's "Those Days," offering "ear healing." With a richly emotive tone and delicate expressiveness he delivered deep resonance, and his flawless live performance drew admiration from fans at the scene.
ATEEZ claimed their second No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Billboard's main U.S. chart, with mini album 11 released in November 2024, breaking the record for the largest local album sales in its first week. In addition, they showed overwhelming class by setting various records on global music charts, including landing at No. 4 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart.
With the mini 12 album edition released in July last year, they entered the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard's main song chart, at No. 68, marking their highest-ever position and reaffirming their status as a global super act. With each album they release, they show upgraded musicality and an irreplaceable identity, imprinting a unique presence in the global music market.
Meanwhile, ATEEZ opens the Asia and Australia leg of their 2026 world tour "IN YOUR FANTASY" in Taipei on the 24th. They will then go on to Jakarta on the 31st, Singapore on Feb. 22, Melbourne on March 3, Sydney on the 6th, Manila on the 14th, Kuala Lumpur on the 22nd, Macau on the 28th, and will finish the finale in Bangkok on April 4.
