Former AOA member Kwon Minah voiced her distress over malicious comments.
On the 11th, Kwon Minah reopened her recently deleted social account and said, "I had no choice but to cancel the fan meeting because the agency thought of me first and prioritized my health reasons and recovery. If I can stand up again later, I will do my best to hold the fan meeting again."
Kwon Minah said, "I can only say that I am very sorry.. I am sorry for disappointing you. I am also sorry for causing worry. My physical and mental recovery is not yet complete, but I am desperately trying to focus on recovery," and added, "I will pull myself together, overcome my mental state, and try to show a better, brighter, hardworking self again."
In particular, Kwon Minah once again addressed dealing with malicious commenters. She said, "First, I would have to file a criminal complaint, and then by delegating it the agency should be able to proceed with a civil case, I was told, but to be honest, even if I wanted to, I don't have the mental strength or energy right now," and said, "I have collected extremely cruel comments or messages that contain severe malicious comments or false information that have deeply hurt me, and I plan to summon the courage and proceed anytime. So please refrain from speculative malicious comments."
Kwon Minah said, "I understand that you may dislike me, hate me, or find me unbearable, but please just stop showing interest and don't look for me. I don't want us to go through the process of lawsuits and make things difficult for each other. Words you casually spit out feel like painful stones to me now. Of course I will also try and promise to stop emotionally exposing myself on social media just because I feel wronged, to avoid fatigue and stress, and to prevent giving you further shock and hurt with extreme choices."
Preparing for the fan meeting, Kwon Minah attempted an extreme choice on the first day of 2026 and was dramatically rescued. On the 1st she said, "Thank you so much to everyone who treated me kindly, loved me, and treated me like a human being. I am also sorry.. I hope everyone has a long, happy, pleasant, harmonious family atmosphere and a joyful life. I am sorry," and she attempted an extreme choice but was dramatically rescued.
After being rescued, Kwon Minah posted a long message recounting her father's domestic violence during her childhood, severe financial hardship, gang assault and sexual assault during her youth, and bullying by fellow members during her idol activities, raising concern, and the fan meeting was inevitably canceled due to the artist's circumstances.
