The group KiiiKiii teased curiosity about their new release with unique content.
On the 9th, KiiiKiii (Jiyu, I-sol, Sui, Ha-eum, Kiya) revealed concept photos for their mini album 2 Delulu Pack, scheduled for release on the 26th, via their official social media.
The released images included part of a story titled "Running in a Dress" and captured the members transformed into individual princesses against various backdrops such as a vintage dress shop, a flower shop and a gym. Wearing glamorous outfits such as silk dresses and voluminous lace, large gift ribbons and fur jackets, and blouses with frills, the members created a cheerful yet dreamy atmosphere with a free-spirited look that seemed to cross classical and modern styles.
They also completed KiiiKiii's "Gen Z sensibility" by adding unorthodox wit, such as wearing dresses on treadmills or making double-bun wigs out of towels and playfully taking photos together in front of a mirror.
Along with this, the full text of "Running in a Dress" was released in storytelling book format on the official website, stimulating curiosity. "Running in a Dress" tells the story of the narrator "I," who had taken inconspicuous "plainness" as a survival strategy, meeting a friend who proudly calls herself a "princess" and living boldly, and the special moments she experiences.
In the story, the narrator runs with a friend on a treadmill and takes a vacation into the secret time gap between Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, discovering the friend's bold energy in expressing and defining herself freely without being trapped by others' gazes. Through this, KiiiKiii expresses a subjective and cheerful message in visuals and text that they will exist as "the me of now," not merely presenting an image to be seen by someone, maximizing immersion in the album's worldview.
Delulu Pack, which will be released on the 26th, is an album that started from the idea of KiiiKiii making "quirky and imaginative wishes" for the new year, using the coined term Delulu, a cute and witty abbreviation of "delusional." Whereas previously released content cheerfully captured 12 new sides of KiiiKiii, the concept photos and storytelling book released this time more boldly unfold the imaginative keywords behind the album title "Delulu." As a result, curiosity is growing about the new musical world KiiiKiii will present.
Having shown an unpolished, honest and cheerful charm with last year's debut album, KiiiKiii is expected to leave a clearer team color on the public by presenting even richer visual creativity with this new release. Attention is focused on the other stories they will present through Delulu Pack, who have captured listeners' hearts by delivering messages about "me" and "us" through various music each time.
