The group CORTIS reached the ranks of a "global hit" with their debut album.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyun, Geonho)'s debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES surpassed 300 million cumulative streams on the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify as of the 8th. It is an achievement reached four months after release, and cases of surpassing 300 million cumulative plays in such a short time are very rare.
COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES surpassed 100 million streams on Oct. 12 last year, about a month after release, then 200 million on Nov. 27 and 300 million on Jan. 8 this year. It is notable that streaming numbers did not decline after official activities ended and were sustained. Thanks to steady interest and word of mouth from music fans around the world, it continues to receive great love, maintaining more than 2.2 million plays per day on average even during inactive periods.
CORTIS's rising popularity is also being felt in China. The debut album's intro track "GO!" won "K-pop single of the year" on QQ Music's 2025 annual peak chart, the largest local music streaming platform. That category selects only one song by considering factors including peak chart ranking, listener preferences and social media reactions.
CORTIS's debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES surpassed 1.38 million copies in cumulative 2025 sales based on Circle Chart. They drew attention as the team with the "fewest years" among artists who recorded a "million-seller" with a single album last year and as the only rookie.
