Actor Song Seung-hwan and Oh Man-seok expressed deep respect and longing as they recalled the late Lee Soon-jae.
On the night of the 10th, MBN 'Kim Ju-ha's Day & Night' episode 7, aired, featured Song Seung-hwan and Oh Man-seok, the leads of the play 'The Dresser,' who appeared and had an honest conversation.
On that day, anchor Kim Ju-ha said, "A short time ago Teacher Lee Soon-jae passed away. He remained on the theater stage until the end, so I think you two must be thinking of him a lot," and began to speak. In response, Song Seung-hwan said, "I did many dramas with Teacher Lee Soon-jae since I was young," and recalled, "As you can tell when you think of his representative works 'Men of the Bathhouse' and 'No Children, No Problem,' he was always incredibly passionate, and his spirit of challenging himself to create new roles was impressive."
Oh Man-seok also shared memories with Lee Soon-jae. He said, "The drama in which I first had a leading role was 'The Man in the Vineyard,' and in that work the teacher played the grandfather," and said, "One day after filming ended, the teacher's parts were all finished, but he did not leave the set and watched my performance from above."
He added, "When I asked why he was still there, he said, 'That's how it is,' and he monitored my acting," and added, "He was a person with such deep affection for his juniors. The memories of working together passionately are vivid."
Also, Oh Man-seok said, "A few years ago, in the production 'The Seagull' which the teacher both directed and appeared in, he specifically picked me to stand on stage with him, and I participated with gratitude," and said, "I didn't know that would be the last," which drew a sense of numbness.
In that broadcast, a scene was also shown in which Oh Man-seok sang Travel Sketch's 'The Stars Are Falling' as a memorial song for Lee Soon-jae, conveying his respect and condolences for the deceased.
