Broadcaster Ro Hong-chul revealed his "real estate golden touch."
On the 10th, real estate industry sources said the estimated value of the building Ro Hong-chul owns in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, is about 23.6 billion won.
Ro Hong-chul purchased the building in November 2018 for about 12.2 billion won. At the time, including acquisition tax, legal fees and brokerage fees, it cost about 12.9 billion won, and after seven years an unrealized price gain of about 11.4 billion won occurred.
Ro Hong-chul's Apgujeong building was completed in 1988. It has a total floor area of 1,368.60 square meters (414 pyeong) from one basement floor to five aboveground floors. After purchasing it, Ro Hong-chul carried out remodeling, and currently a café, an English academy, an acting academy and a soccer school are tenants.
Earlier, Ro Hong-chul also bought and sold a building in Haebangchon in 2016 and gained about 700 million won in price difference. Ro Hong-chul had earned the nickname "Hong-bang-kkul (honey when reversed from Hong-chul)" for failing at stock investments over time, but his successful investment in the Apgujeong building showed his exceptional acumen.
Meanwhile, after appearing on Mnet's "Dr. No KIN Street" in 2004, Ro Hong-chul continued active broadcasting activities by appearing in shows such as Nolleowa, It Is! Is It Not?, Infinite Challenge, Rainbow Romance, Crisis Escape No. 1, 2 Days & 1 Night, Young-woong Heroes, I Live Alone, Save Me! Homes, The Hungry and the Hairy, the World Dice Tour series and the Zombieverse series.
Since last year's World Dice Tour 3, he has not appeared on any notable broadcast programs and communicates through his personal YouTube and other channels.<
