Mimi, formerly of girl group Gugudan, reopened her YouTube channel and announced the resumption of her activities.
Mimi announced the YouTube comeback on the 9th via her social media, saying "MimiHomepage YouTube has finally been revived after 3 years," and "At the fan signing event, people asked me to upload it even without captions, so I worked hard to make it. Still, I put some effort into the captions."
The released video contained footage of the fan signing event held at the end of last year. On the way to meet fans, Mimi said, "It's been seven years since I've had a proper fan signing event, so I'm very nervous," and "It's my first time doing it solo so I'm even more nervous," expressing her honest feelings.
But she said her nervousness eased once she actually faced the fans. Mimi said, "Before it started I worried, 'What if I can't even say a word,' but seeing the fans' faces made me feel more comfortable than I thought," and "Although it had been a long time, I was able to talk naturally about many things."
That day Mimi also performed a live stage for the fans. She said, "Meeting the fans was the best thing I did this year," and "I was happy even after I returned home." She added, "I want to meet more often from now on. I will try to create more opportunities like this next year," she promised.
Meanwhile, Mimi married Thunder, formerly of MBLAQ, in May 2024 after five years of dating. Even after the wedding she has continued communicating with fans and has drawn attention by hinting at new activities through YouTube.
