My Grumpy Secretary actor Lee Seo-jin was embarrassed when IVE members ordered the snack "Dubai jjondeuk cookie."
The SBS show My Grumpy Secretary (hereafter "My Grumpy Secretary"), which aired on the 9th, welcomed Kim Kwang-kyu as he greeted the leader Ahn Yu-jin of the top K-pop girl group IVE, whom he had been sending love calls to since the production presentation, as the fourteenth "my star."
Lee Seo-jin asked the IVE members if there was anything they wanted to eat, and Ga-eul replied, "Dubai jjondeuk cookie." Hearing this, Kim Kwang-kyu did not understand well and retorted, "Jjonku? Is that a dog's name?" which elicited laughter.
Lee Seo-jin also said "Dujongkeu?" in puzzlement, and when Ray explained it as "Dubai jjondeuk cookie," Lee Seo-jin, looking embarrassed, said he had to check whether it was available in the neighborhood and hurried out.
But when the shop did not sell Dubai jjondeuk cookie, Lee Seo-jin decided to buy a roughly similar chocolate chip cookie. When Kim Kwang-kyu expressed concern, saying, "It's too hard," Lee Seo-jin showed baseless confidence, saying, "If you bite this, it will be soft."
Then Lee Seo-jin handed the members the chocolate chip cookies and nonchalantly lied, saying, "They just came from Dubai now." But the IVE members who saw this could not hide their disappointment, and in particular Ray sharply pointed out, "They're Incheon cookies," instantly collapsing Lee Seo-jin's ruse and causing the scene to erupt in laughter.
