Actor Kim Seong-hwan revealed an untold story surrounding a 1 billion won debt with the late singer Song Daekwan.
On the 9th, Kim Seong-hwan appeared as a guest on the YouTube show "Song Seung-hwan's Wonderful Life."
Song Seung-hwan asked Kim Seong-hwan, "I heard that senior Song Daekwan was in financial difficulty and that you lent him a large sum," and said, "Because you are so successful, luck comes to you" as an opening.
In fact, Kim Seong-hwan once lent Song Daekwan 1 billion won. Song Daekwan himself, while alive, expressed deep gratitude on a broadcast, saying, "This was before my wife had the accident. I thought I would struggle alone. I told Kim Seong-hwan, 'I'm going to die.' I needed 1 billion won, and there was no one who could say that even among close relatives."
Kim Seong-hwan said about this, "At first I was surprised, but I had to resolve the situation somehow. It is all past, but because I lent the money I told him, 'You must never mention this.' Even if it is just a boast, I struggled to raise that money. Where would I have had such a large sum? I asked people who trusted me, and those people lent me that money," he confessed.
However, after Song Daekwan expressed his gratitude, more people began asking Kim Seong-hwan to lend them money. Kim Seong-hwan revealed, "Lending is fine, and it was done with good intentions, but when people are desperate that thought comes to mind. After seeing on a broadcast that Mr. Kim Seong-hwan lent money, those things came up and they called me again," shocking listeners.
He said, "Of course if you have the money you can lend it, but the feelings when you cannot lend it and the person who was told about it are not ordinary," adding, "So there were many times that were hard and difficult," which added poignancy.
