'Jun Hyun-moo plan 3' revealed the connection between Jun Hyun-moo and Kim Hye-eun at a true local eatery in Busan, unleashing laughter and memories at the same time.
On the 9th episode of the variety show Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3, jointly produced by MBN·Channel S·SK Broadband, Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin) set out on a journey to find Busan's hidden "true local eateries" with their 'food friend' Kim Hye-eun and Ahn So-hee.
That day Jun Hyun-moo gave KwakTube the hint, "One of today's food friends is a Busan native and an actor who used dialect brilliantly in a film, and the other is an actor of the same age as you who starred in a film with over 10 million admissions." However, KwakTube struggled to guess, and only realized the answer after meeting Kim Hye-eun and Ahn So-hee in person.
Afterward the four moved to a restaurant led by Jun Hyun-moo. In the car Jun Hyun-moo hinted, "This dish isn't one that immediately comes to mind when you think of Busan," and with the hint of "seasoned seafood," KwakTube, Kim Hye-eun and Ahn So-hee took turns guessing seasoned sea eel, braised monkfish, pufferfish and steamed clams as they played detective. Then when KwakTube shouted, "Daegu bolljjim!" Kim Hye-eun retorted, "That's something sold in Daegu!" and with that unexpected flub she turned the place into a sea of laughter.
Ultimately the dish they arrived at was Daegu bolljjim served in Busan. At the sight of the seasoning placed on top of the ingredients with a "plop," everyone exclaimed, "Wow, that's interesting." Ahn So-hee said, "I like to chew for a long time, and this lets you really chew for a long time," and evaluated, "The boll meat itself has a chew," drawing laughter as she transformed from "Dumpling So-hee" to "Daegu bolljjim So-hee."
During the meal, the unexpected connection between Jun Hyun-moo and Kim Hye-eun was revealed. Kim Hye-eun said she once worked as a lecturer at an announcer academy and already knew Jun Hyun-moo from his days as a YTN anchor. Jun Hyun-moo recalled, "We probably crossed paths coming and going. I think I remember seeing her," and Kim Hye-eun said, "Even then Jun Hyun-moo was a cute, bright, handsome man," which made Jun Hyun-moo beam. Jun Hyun-moo then jokingly said, "Idol award, SM award," prompting more laughter.
It was also mentioned that Kim Hye-eun worked as an MBC weathercaster for eight years before challenging herself to become an actor at 38. All the cast members expressed respect, saying, "That's really impressive." At that, KwakTube asked Jun Hyun-moo, "Who would you come to this kind of date course with? Is there someone you're seeing?" Jun Hyun-moo replied, "My stomach burns," which drew another burst of laughter.
