The reunion of comedian Jo Hye-ryeon and duo band Peppertones is raising expectations.
Today (10th) comedian Cho Hye-lyeon appeared on SBS Radio's 2 p.m. escape Cultwo Show (abbreviated as Cultwo Show). Cho Hye-lyeon appeared in the "Love's Cult Center" segment with singers Kim Tae-hyun and Heen.
Currently appearing on stage as the lead Rita in the play "Taming of Rita," Cho Hye-lyeon said she felt "(Rita's life) was similar to my life." Cho Hye-lyeon explained the meaning of the work, saying, "It is the story of a person from an era when people said, 'What good is it for a woman to study,' who, as she gets older, enters a lifelong education college, studies literature with a professor who is an alcoholic, and their lives change for each other."
In particular, Cho Hye-lyeon drew attention by taking on the Rita role as the fifth actor following notable performers such as Choi Hwa-jung, Jeon Do-yeon, Lee Tae-ran and Kong Hyojin. The play will run from Feb. 6 to April 26 at Art House in Daehangno, Seoul.
Also, last May she formed the group "Mechanism" with the band Peppertones and carried out musical activities. Cho Hye-lyeon said, "I was happy to be able to give hope to young people with 'Broken Time Machine,'" and "If Peppertones asks to do it together, I will make (a song) again anytime." Meanwhile, Cho Hye-lyeon added a pleasant atmosphere by selecting her hit song "Anakkana" and successfully connecting with a listener by phone.
