On the 8th, the ENA, SBS Plus variety show 'I am SOLO, love continues afterward' (hereafter 'na-sol-sa-gye') revealed Mr. Kim's love for Gukhwa.
At the first impression choice, he chose yongdam and appealed to the male contestants about yongdam's charm. After yongdam's self-introduction, interest in yongdam grew so heated that all the male contestants showed interest in him. By contrast, Mr. Kim surprised all the male contestants by choosing Gukhwa for his first date with a woman.
Mr. Kim said, "I don't really feel that someone looks cold, but I thought she was a cold beauty. She looked very warm during her self-introduction," explaining why he chose Gukhwa. He added, "What worries me is that she looked much younger," he said. Gukhwa couldn't stop laughing at the pleasant comments.
The restaurant they had arranged was full and caused a setback, but the two instead went to a cozy place where they could eat hongge-tang and samgyeopsal while listening to the rain and ended up drinking. Mr. Kim said, "Even if I drink a little, my face gets very, very red. I'm really fine, only my face turns severely red. People worry about my appearance because of that. They also think I'm very drunk," saying he does not drink at all, but Gukhwa shook Mr. Kim's heart by saying, "I'll call a designated driver for you. Would you like to have a drink together?"
Mr. Kim agreed. Gukhwa said, "I liked that you adjusted to me. The atmosphere with hongge-tang, samgyeopsal and soju was just nice. But I liked that you adjusted here. Not drinking isn't a bad thing, but I thought if we dated for a long time it might become boring. I thought you were someone who could accept things flexibly," she said, viewing his potential positively.
Mr. Kim has never been married. Mr. Kim said, "My mother doesn't cross into private matters," and added, "But because people around me aren't getting married, they tell me to at least meet men," which made Gukhwa laugh out loud. Mr. Kim said with a bright smile after just two drinks, "It's a soju my boss wouldn't even let me have, it was so sweet. Is talking while drinking this fun? Maybe it's not the alcohol that's going up, but Gukhwa's vibe?"
He declared he would go straight for Gukhwa. Gukhwa said, "Half of me liked it, half was worried. If the atmosphere forms, won't men who want to get to know me be unable to approach?" she said, expressing concern.
Yeongsu of the 22nd generation did not apply for a date when Gukhwa said she would consider up to a 10-year age difference, but thought he should at least talk with her. When the next episode preview came, Yeongsu of the 22nd generation asked Gukhwa, "Who do you currently like?" and Gukhwa answered, "Three people." Yeongsu of the 22nd generation asked, "Am I one of them?" Gukhwa said of course, and the two slipped away to talk.
