'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' Jang Min Ho is surprised by Kim Yang and Kim Yong-pil's investment skills.
On Jan. 9, KBS 2TV's 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' (hereinafter 'Fun-Staurant,' directed by Yoon Byung-il) will reveal a special trip by Jang Min Ho, who has risen from gentleman of trot to gentleman of the kitchen. Jang Min Ho visits Pohang, Korea's top marine tourism city and a gourmet city filled with fresh seafood all year round, with his close trot singer friends Kim Yang and Kim Yong-pil. Fans can look forward to the lively and cheerful start to the new year 2026, the year of the Year of the Rooster for the three trot stars.
In the VCR shown that day, Jang Min Ho, Kim Yang and Kim Yong-pil visited the Guryongpo gwamegi curing yard, a must-see when in Pohang. There, the three tasted the glossy, premium Guryongpo gwamegi born from meticulous drying work. Jang Min Ho then presented a homacasse course using Guryongpo gwamegi that made Kim Yang and Kim Yong-pil salivate just from looking at it.
There was perilla oil–grilled gwamegi, spicy seasoned grilled gwamegi with an addictive sauce, and Jang Min Ho's ultimate gwamegi dish that pairs perfectly with champagne. Kim Yang and Kim Yong-pil's reactions to the delicious gwamegi course exploded. At times, it felt like a jazz bar atmosphere was created on the spot. The 'Fun-Staurant' will reveal exactly which dishes made everyone marvel at Jang Min Ho's gwamegi homacasse.
Meanwhile, while enjoying the tasty gwamegi, Kim Yang said, "I have something I want to brag about," grabbing the attention of Jang Min Ho and Kim Yong-pil. Kim Yang said, "A small low-rise apartment I bought 10 years ago to live with my parents has been confirmed for redevelopment. The house price rose to five times what I paid." He added, "It's on the Han River line," surprising the others. Jang Min Ho rejoiced as if it were his own and repeatedly said, "Congratulations."
At that moment, Kim Yong-pil also cautiously confessed his investment activities, drawing interest. Kim Yong-pil said, "After more than 20 years in broadcasting, I invested the money I diligently saved to buy land. It's a 33-pyeong plot in Songpa, Seoul." He then revealed a special development plan for that land that surprised everyone. What that plan is, Kim Yong-pil's grand investment dream, and Jang Min Ho's gwamegi homacasse can all be seen on KBS 2TV's 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant,' which will air on Jan. 9, Friday at 8:30 p.m.
