The funeral mass and farewell ceremony for the late Ahn Sung-ki were held at Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul on the 9th.
Ahn Sung-ki died at the age of 74 on the morning of the 5th at 9 a.m. while receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Yongsan District, Seoul, with his family at his bedside. It was six days after he was found unconscious at his home on the 30th of last month after food became lodged in his throat and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
