Nana recently completed a police interrogation after being countersued by the robber who broke into her home.
On the 9th, according to her agency Sublime, Nana was questioned faithfully at the Guri Police Station in Gyeonggi the previous day as a respondent.
However, the agency cautiously said, "This matter involves inhumane acts that have caused great mental anguish to Nana and her family, and because the investigation is ongoing, we ask for your understanding that it is difficult to discuss the specific details."
They added, "Our company places the protection of our artists' rights and interests as a top priority, and regarding this matter we are reviewing all possible civil and criminal legal measures against the perpetrator," and "We will continue to respond responsibly to prevent the artist from suffering further harm and will actively cooperate with the investigative authorities' inquiries."
Earlier, in November last year a robber armed with a bladed weapon broke into her home and demanded valuables. Nana and her mother subdued the robber after a struggle and reported it to the police, but during the incident Nana's mother sustained a strangulation injury from the robber.
At the time, her agency Sublime explained, "Because of the robber's physical attack, Nana's mother experienced a serious injury and lost consciousness, and Nana also suffered physical injuries while escaping the dangerous situation. Both are currently in need of treatment and absolute rest."
Also, during the struggle the robber sustained a laceration to the jaw, but the police judged that Nana's actions constituted legitimate self-defense and did not file charges.
However, news emerged that the suspect who was recently detained filed a complaint against Nana during the investigation, claiming that the acts Nana committed during the subduing constituted an attempted murder.
Nana's side emphasized this principle in an official statement, saying, "The perpetrator, without showing any remorse, has filed separate complaints against Nana and is exploiting the fact that the victim is a public figure to cause secondary harm through inhumane acts. Our company places the protection of our artists' rights and interests as a top priority, and we plan to take all civil and criminal legal measures against the perpetrator in relation to this matter."
