'The Return of SUPERMAN' i-dle received overflowing love from fans nationwide and abroad.
On the 7th, KBS2TV variety show 'The Return of SUPERMAN' (hereafter 'The Return') held a fan meeting to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Over the course of 7 days, about 2,300 people applied to participate in the fan meeting, and 'The Return' fans from across the country gathered after overcoming a 100:1 competition ratio.
The first fan meeting featured Shim Hyungtak's son Haru. Lalal worried, saying, "He's 11 months old so he might not come out," Haru appeared for the first time and sat on the mat with a bewildered expression, looking at the audience. The audience watched Haru with joyful expressions, holding their breath so as not to startle him.
Park Seul-gi greeted, "Aunties and uncles came to see Haru," and Kim Jongmin marveled, "Haru is so small that the studio looks enormous." Soon Haru smiled broadly at the audience, babbled and played as if it were his playground. Lalal admired, "When children go to unfamiliar places they might cry, but he didn't cry at all. It's innate."
Haru's specialty of playing on rides appeared. Haru stared at the audience as if expecting applause, and the audience responded with thunderous applause. Park Seul-gi was surprised, saying, "Haru reacts to everyone's applause," and Lalal assessed Haru's star quality, saying, "He definitely has star quality. He's not reacting until the applause comes." A fan earnestly urged Haru, "Make sure to become an idol."
Kim Jun-Ho's sons Eun-woo and Jung-woo appeared wearing similar looks to their dad, combining style and cuteness at once. Kim Jun-Ho shyly said, "What our kids are good at is eating broadcasts. So we'll show you a lunch show." Park Seul-gi asked, "What does Eun-woo eat well?" Eun-woo answered, "Vegetables and meat," and Jung-woo said, "I eat vegetables and fish."
i-dle happily ate strawberries and sweet-and-sour pork. The audience gasped. It was time for the lucky draw when Eun-woo and Jung-woo handed out gifts. Jung-woo touched the audience with a sweet and crisp line, "Here you go. Please keep it nicely."
A fan appeared saying, "I applied because my mother is a fan of The Return. That's why we wore matching 'Eun-woo, Jung-woo, I love you' shirts." The fan said, "My father passed away 10 years ago. Since then my mother has watched The Return and found comfort and companionship; she likes it so much she talks to the TV while watching Eun-woo and Jung-woo. I'm grateful to the people who made The Return."
Eun-woo and Jung-woo received a letter that read, "I am an 84-year-old elderly person living alone, undergoing hemodialysis and unable to move well because of arthritis. After visiting the hospital in the sweltering heat, I find comfort seeing Eun-woo and Jung-woo. Although they are clearly babies in diapers, how dignified and responsive they are, so kind and cute and lovable — I'm sending my support, fighting." Jung-woo sweetly asked, "Is it grandma?"
The Hou family arranged a meal with the elder. The elder said, "Yes, it's delicious. It's delicious because Eun-woo gave it to me," as she accepted meat from Jung-woo, and Jung-woo cheerfully said, "I'm Jung-woo," drawing laughter. The elder beamed, saying, "With Jung-woo and Eun-woo, their dad must really feel like he's living in heaven," and Kim Jun-Ho, embarrassed, said, "We show everyday and small things, but to hear that people gain strength from it makes us grateful."
