EXID alumnus actress Hanni (real name An Hee-yeon) announced her return after three years.
On the 8th, Hanni's agency Sublime told OSEN, "Hanni is considering appearing in KBS2's new weekend drama 'Love Comes'."
'Love Comes' is a drama about people who are family despite sometimes wishing they weren't their business or family and wanting to throw them away, yet still being family. Writer Lee Kyung-hee, who wrote 'Sang-doo, Let's Go to School', I Am Sorry, I Love You, The Innocent Man, and 'Uncontrollably Fond', is receiving attention for presenting a new work about seven years after 'Chocolate'.
The director will be PD Hong Seok-koo, who directed numerous KBS weekend dramas including Queen's House, 'My Only One', 'Oh! Samkwang Villa!', and Beauty and Mr. Romantic.
In the story, Hanni has been offered and is reviewing the role of Han Gyurim, the owner of a market side-dish shop. Han Gyurim is a meddlesome, fickle-eared character who, if someone has something bad happen, drops everything to run and help, and if something good happens, celebrates as if it were her own.
Hanni's drama appearance comes about three years after Disney+'s 'Tell Love' broadcast in 2023. Hanni earlier halted activities after psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong, whom she had previously announced she would marry, was embroiled in a medical accident controversy. In 2024, an incident occurred in a hospital run by Yang Jae-woong in which a patient died, and the wedding scheduled for September of the same year was indefinitely postponed.
Currently, 13 medical staff including Yang Jae-woong have been handed over to prosecutors on charges including violation of the Medical Service Act, and five of them have been tried. Yang Jae-woong's hospital also received a three-month suspension of operations and is undergoing closure procedures.
Meanwhile, on MBN's 'Oh Eun-young's Stay' last year, Hanni said, "Even riding the subway, I avoided people's eyes thinking, 'What if everyone thinks I'm ruined?' I deliberately pretended to be composed, but it was hard," and said, "A monk told me, 'Don't try to give me what I want,' and I cried my eyes out at those words," recounting her journey to find herself. She added, "This appearance is a declaration. I'm going to try to have the courage to be hated. I'm worried, but now I'll be brave. I believe that the moment you pour out your worries is the beginning of change," revealing her honest feelings.
After completing a yoga instructor course and signaling a new start, Hanni raised expectations for her activity comeback after three years by announcing her appearance in 'Love Comes'.
Meanwhile, 'Love Comes' is scheduled to air in August as the follow-up to 'Recipe For Love', which is set to premiere on the 31st.
