Actor and broadcaster Jeong Ga-eun directly mentioned the identity theft case committed by her ex-husband, and her past remarks are once again drawing attention.
On the 7th broadcast of KBS 1TV 'Let's live together with Hwang Shin-hye', Hwang Shin-hye, Jang Yoon Jeong, and Jeong Ga-eun were shown drawing their life graphs and talking.
That day Jeong Ga-eun said, "I competed in Miss Korea at 25. Once I had the title, work started coming in a lot. I think I moved up to Seoul around 26 or 27. After moving up, I started as a home shopping model. Then I did 'roller coaster,'" she confessed. She said, "That program was really fun. At that time I had a lot of work in my early 30s. So I had a lot of work but my happiness index was low because I had no personal life. And I had a baby at 39. So my life graph was happiest then," she said.
At the same time Jeong Ga-eun said, "One year after Seoyun was born, everything plunged. I chose divorce," and said she decided to divorce after two years of marriage. Jeong Ga-eun mentioned the identity theft case, saying, "Divorce was very difficult, but one or two years after the divorce something even worse happened. I never imagined that person would do that in my name."
Previously Jeong Ga-eun married a businessman of the same age in 2016 and gave birth to a daughter, but they divorced in 2018. It later emerged that the ex-husband had many prior fraud convictions before marriage but hid them and married Jeong Ga-eun, and during the marriage he carried out a fraud scheme using bank accounts in Jeong Ga-eun's name worth 13.2 billion won. In response, Jeong Ga-eun filed a complaint against her ex-husband on fraud charges.
Regarding this, Hwang Shin-hye asked, "You found out about that after the divorce?" and Jeong Ga-eun explained, "Yes. So I hurriedly sued that person." Hwang Shin-hye empathized with the pain, saying, "That is truly an unimaginable incident," and Jang Yoon Jeong showed concern, saying, "Divorce is hard enough, but if damage keeps coming afterwards like that..."
In the past Jeong Ga-eun indirectly referenced the incident she suffered from her ex-husband and even publicly took aim at him. On the SBS program 'Take off your shoes, Dollsing Fourman' in January last year, she said about her changed ideal type after the divorce, "Before, feeling was important; something had to click, but after what I went through none of that matters. Now when I look at the opposite sex I only check credit score."
Also that August Jeong Ga-eun continued to give candid answers when she appeared on Kim Hyun-wook's YouTube channel. Kim Hyun-wook noted, "They say singers follow song titles. But actors seem to have programs like this. You've lived a roller-coaster life," he said. Jeong Ga-eun replied, "That's right. I plummeted once before and now I'm rising again," but added with concern, "Then when I go up won't I fall again?"
When Kim Hyun-wook asked about remarriage plans she said, "What plan?" while also saying, "I have the will. Please introduce me to a good person," and about conditions for seeing someone she said, "a transparent person. someone whose identity is certain," conveying her hardships and prompting sympathy.
