The group SEVENTEEN's new unit Dokyeom X Seungkwan transformed into an adorable villain duo.
HYBE music group label PLEDIS Entertainment Co. posted episode 1 of 'Going Dokyeom X Seungkwan special: Villains BBOODO (GOING DxS SPECIAL : Villains BBOODO)' on SEVENTEEN's official YouTube channel on the 7th. This content was specially prepared to commemorate the release of the two members' mini 1st album 'Soyagok'.
Dokyeom and Seungkwan announced the birth of 'villains BBOODO' with the bold resolve, "We will spread our music far and wide. We will make a 'Blue' world, a blue world." The process was not smooth. Both broke into nervous sweat at the occasional 'real laughter' and their unexpectedly emerging good selves. Immersed in their villain characters, they loudly declared, "I will destroy all the music in the world," then soon burst into laughter as they passionately sang a senior vocal duo's song and sank into memories.
The 'utterly polite' attitude contrasted with their arrogant tone was also a viewing highlight. Approaching passersby on the street without hesitation, Dokyeom X Seungkwan, when the interview actually began, repeatedly performed belly-button bows while saying "Thank you," "I'm sorry," and "Stay healthy," drawing laughs. They stood out for their warm side by spontaneously singing the new song 'Blue' a cappella for a rest stop owner and bringing snacks to the production staff.
At the end of the video, member Dino made a surprise appearance as the character 'Pi Cheol-in.' 'Pi Cheol-in' is the CEO of label BOMG and a person with a particularly keen appreciation for so-called 'ppongjjak' music. As expected, after hearing 'Blue' he said, "It drags a bit," and comically reinterpreted the song in a rustic way, making everyone laugh. Dino returned to his 'main persona' at the end of the broadcast, shouting "'Blue' big hit" and showing shining loyalty.
Meanwhile, Dokyeom X Seungkwan will release 'Soyagok' at 6 p.m. on the 12th. It contains six tracks capturing every moment between meeting and parting. The title track 'Blue' is a song that captures the moment when the depth and speed of emotions slowly fall out of sync, on the theme of 'love with different strides.' The two recently first revealed part of this song through a vocal challenge, foreshadowing the essence of a 'winter ballad.'
