SBS 'Taxi Driver 3' Lee Je-hoon has disappeared. In response, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin and Bae Yu Ram launch a full-scale "search for Kim Do-gi" operation, drawing attention.
SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3' (written by Oh Sang-ho / directed by Kang Bo-seung / produced by Studio S, Group8, B.A. Entertainment) is a private vengeance agency drama in which the taxi company Rainbow Transportation and taxi driver Kim Do-gi complete revenge on behalf of wronged victims. With only two episodes left until the finale, episode 14 recorded a peak rating of 18.5% and 15.1% in the Seoul metropolitan area, sweeping to an overwhelming first place not only in its time slot but also among Saturday mini-series. In particular, the rating among viewers aged 20-49 was 4.8%, peaking at 5.75%, ranking first among all broadcasts in the new year and maintaining a dominant box office strength until the end. It also grabbed first place in the TV-OTT drama category of the Fundex popularity survey for the first week of January (counting Dec. 29–Jan. 4) and first place in TV-OTT integrated cast popularity (provided by Good Data Corporation), seizing topicality as well.
In episode 15 of 'Taxi Driver 3', which airs Friday the 9th, the final revenge plan of the "Rainbow Dark Heroes" set against a military base will unfold. Among them, Do-gi (played by Lee Je-hoon), who was a special forces officer before joining Rainbow Transportation, suddenly goes missing after applying to return to his unit, heightening curiosity about the upcoming final episode.
Released stills show the "Rainbow Dark Heroes" huddled together to find the missing Do-gi: representative Jang (played by Kim Eui-sung), Go-eun (played by Pyo Ye-jin), chief Choi (played by Jang Hyuk-jin) and assistant Park (played by Bae Yu Ram), drawing attention. The worried expressions of representative Jang, Go-eun and chief Choi make viewers anxious.
Among them, the most interesting is assistant Park, who bravely reenlisted and moved viewers to tears. Until now, assistant Park has even volunteered to be a punching bag at Do-gi's bidding, throwing his body into danger. Driven by a single-minded determination to find Do-gi, assistant Park's willingness to reenlist displays a sacrificial spirit that elicits bittersweet laughter. But dressed neatly in uniform after enlisting, assistant Park is soon crawling under a military truck amid a flurry of tears, sparking curiosity about what hard ordeals he will face this time.
What reason could there be for Do-gi's sudden disappearance, whether the "Rainbow Dark Heroes" will be able to find the missing Do-gi's whereabouts, and all eyes are on the final episode of 'Taxi Driver 3'.
Earlier, at the end of season 2, Moon Chae-won appeared in the final episode as a female soldier with the rank of lieutenant. News reports said the female soldier had committed suicide after suffering secondary victimization following a report of sexual assault in the military, and later a scene was released showing Moon Chae-won greeting officer Kim Do-gi with a meaningful expression. Questions are growing about whether the season 3 finale will include a story connected to that episode.
Meanwhile, SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3' will air episode 15 at 9:50 p.m. on Friday the 9th.
