Singer Hwang Garam solidified her reputation as a music powerhouse by placing two songs on Melon's annual chart.
Hwang Garam's "I am a firefly" and "I miss you madly" ranked 4th and 59th respectively on Melon's "2025 annual chart TOP100" released on the 8th, the country's largest music platform.
First, "I am a firefly," which Hwang Garam released in October 2024, not only topped various music charts but also took first place on Kumyoung Karaoke's "2025 year-end settlement of account chart" and second place on TJ Karaoke's "2025 most-sung karaoke popular chart," creating a national consolation-song phenomenon. Recently it surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on Melon, continuing its unshakable popularity.
"I miss you madly," released in February last year, is a remake in which Hwang Garam's pleading voice and singular sensibility reinterpret messages of love and loss. That song, along with "I am a firefly," also achieved the feat of sweeping No. 1 on major music charts, proving powerful box-office appeal.
Regarding this, Kim Gyo-sik, CEO of HNS HQ, which produced both songs, said, "Having two songs on Melon's annual chart is a valuable result that shows Hwang Garam's unique musical sincerity reached the public. I am pleased that the efforts of the artist and production team toward a high-quality finished product led to meaningful results," and added, "Our company will expand touchpoints with listeners through high-quality music and content alongside artists with outstanding capabilities."
Hwang Garam will continue her dominant run by holding "2026 Hwang Garam concert: I am" on March 7 and 8 at Bluesquare SOL Travel Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Tickets will open on the 9th at 3 p.m. on NOL Ticket.
HNS HQ houses Voice Korea 2 winner Lee Ye-jun, Masked Singer's four-time consecutive champion Lee Ye-jun, and the emotional duo Jajeong (Chey Min-jung, interest), and is diversifying its activities based on solid production capabilities. In addition to Hwang Garam's "I am a firefly" and "I miss you madly," HNS HQ's well-made songs have been widely loved, including the "Today's selection" series project, Lee Ye-jun's signature songs "Crazy sound," "Was I at ease that day," and "Because I might see you again," and Kyungseo Yeji & Jeon Geon-ho's "If you call my name kindly," which surpassed 200 million streams on Melon.
