Last month the best-selling K-pop album was CORTIS's 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES'.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho)'s debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' topped Circle Chart's December 2025 monthly album chart released on the 8th. Since its release on Sept. 8 last year, it reclaimed the top spot in its fourth month. Considering that all of the other 'top 5' albums announced that day were new releases from December, this is a very unusual achievement.
Circle Chart analyzed, "Positive reviews from major global media, the surge of attention during the year-end roundups and the bold declaration contained in the title track 'What You Want' combined to produce a reverse-trajectory result." In fact, CORTIS drove an all-around rise in album sales, streaming trends and social media followers through year-end broadcasts and awards show performances. Their stage videos became a hot topic, ranking among the top views on various YouTube channels.
Also, 'What You Want' gained popularity as a "first song of the new year" that carries the year's wishes, bringing renewed attention to the debut album across social media. The message of boldly going after what you want and seizing it, and ambitious lyrics such as "돈, 멋, 명예, Love and what? / Ooh Take what you want" were reappraised.
Meanwhile, CORTIS will attend the '40th Golden Disc Awards' held at Taipei Dome on the 10th. Much attention is focused on the stage they will show, as they have boosted popularity indicators with every awards show appearance.
