The story of Han Hye-kyung, known as the 'fan aunt,' who tragically died about seven years ago, will be revealed through Kkokkomu.
Today (the 8th) SBS's Tails of Tales (hereafter Kkokkomu), airing today (the 8th), under the theme "The lost name, Han Hye-kyung," sheds light on the aftermath of the illegal plastic surgeries of Han Hye-kyung, who was called the "fan aunt."
In this broadcast, with actors Kim Hee-jeong, Bae Myung-jin, and film director Bang Eun-jin appearing as listeners, Park So-hyun will reveal the behind story of the "fan aunt," which drew attention with a 31% viewership on "Moment Capture: Things Like This in the World," where she served as MC for 27 years.
Han Hye-kyung once performed as a singer under the stage name Han Mi-ok, but her face deteriorated due to continued surgeries including illegal plastic surgery. Furthermore, auditory and visual hallucinations followed, leading her to inject industrial silicone, paraffin oil, and soybean oil directly into her own face.
She later appeared on SBS's "Moment Capture: Things Like This in the World" in 2004, creating a major stir and helping raise public awareness of the dangers of illegal plastic surgery and plastic surgery addiction. After her broadcast appearance she underwent multiple reconstructive surgeries, and in 2013 she shared on several programs her reconstructed appearance and that she had found work, showing that she was living a new life and receiving much support.
However, in December 2018, she suddenly died at the age of 57, shocking many. Her exact cause of death was not revealed, and it was reported that her funeral was quietly held under the care of relatives.
Meanwhile, Kkokkomu will reveal why Han Hye-kyung repeatedly underwent illegal plastic surgeries and will disclose previously unknown stories about Han Hye-kyung the person.
Han Hye-kyung was born with beautiful looks, but driven by a desire to become a charismatic singer she repeatedly underwent illegal plastic surgeries. Park So-hyun expressed sympathy over Han Hye-kyung's story, in which her face had swollen so much that even her mother could not recognize her youngest daughter, saying, "The side effects seem to have made life very hard for her."
In particular, on Kkokkomu, Han Hye-kyung's older sister and her husband appear in person to reveal the behind story of her efforts to become a singer. Park So-hyun candidly said, "Watching the fan aunt challenge herself again to find her lost dream, I found myself cheering for her as if it were my own matter."
Meanwhile, SBS's Kkokkomu, featuring the late Han Hye-kyung, the "fan aunt," will air tonight (the 8th) at 10:20 p.m.<
