"Heartman" stars Kwon Sang Woo, Moon Chae-won, P.O., Park Ji-hwan and others held a moment to mourn their senior, the late Ahn Sung-ki, immediately after the press screening.
On the afternoon of the 8th, a press screening for the film "Heartman" was held at Lotte Cinema World Tower. Attending were lead actors Kwon Sang Woo, Moon Chae-won, Park Ji-hwan, Pyo Jihoon and director Choi Won-seop.
"Heartman" (director Choi Won-seop, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by Movierock·Like M Company) is a comedy about Sung-min, the returned man (played by Kwon Sang Woo), who struggles to keep his first love Bona (played by Moon Chae-won) after reuniting with her, but a secret he can never tell her arises. The film is from production company Movierock, which delivered hits such as the 5 million–plus "Midnight Runners," "Pilot" and "Sweet Enough: 7510", reuniting comedy hitmaker Kwon Sang Woo with director Choi Won-seop. Returning with a first-love vibe, Moon Chae-won joins, along with Park Ji-hwan, who has shown a powerful presence in every work, and scene-stealer Pyo Jihoon, raising expectations.
That day the actors all appeared in coordinated black outfits, and a site official noted, "Before the main event, we will have a moment to mourn the passing of teacher Ahn Sung-ki. We pray for his soul," and the actors and director observed a moment of silence.
Earlier that morning at the press conference for the film "Project Y," Han So-hee, Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Shin-rock, Jung Young-joo, Lee Jae Kyoon, Yoo Ah, Kim Sung-Cheol and director Lee Hwan also mourned Ahn Sung-ki.
Meanwhile, Ahn Sung-ki, who had been battling blood cancer, was found at his home on Dec. 30 last year collapsed with food lodged in his throat and was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation before being taken to the hospital. He had been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, but on Jan. 5 at 9 a.m. he finally died with his family at his side. Afterward, a wave of mourning swept the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, the year's first comedy, "Heartman," opens on the 14th.
