Delicate emotion actress Shin Sae-kyeong returns to the screen with the film "Humint."
The film "Humint" (director Ryu Seung-wan, distributor NEW, production Woeun Naegang Co., Ltd.) is a story of people with different objectives clashing in Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are submerged in a cold sea of ice. Actress Shin Sae-kyeong, who probes deep into her characters' inner lives with delicate emotional acting, joins "Humint" as the final puzzle. It marks her return to the screen after a full 12 years since the 2014 release of Tazza: The Hand of God.
Shin Sae-kyeong said, "From the first time I read the screenplay there was no doubt, and I felt thrilled the whole time I was reading. I thought it was an honor to be part of it," expressing her fascination with the story of "Humint."
Cha Seon-hwa, played by Shin Sae-kyeong, is an employee at a North Korean restaurant located in Vladivostok, a character intertwined with all figures including Director Jo (Zo In-sung), who proposes the informant, Park Geon (Park Jeongmin), and Hwang Chi-seong (Park Hae-jun). The released stills convey a mysterious atmosphere and a strong gaze at the same time.
Director Ryu Seung-wan praised, "Shin Sae-kyeong's unique charm felt very fresh. She has a solid inner strength, so she was wonderful to work with." He added, "There is an unparalleled feel to Shin Sae-kyeong's close-up image on the big screen. You will be able to see sides of actress Shin Sae-kyeong we haven't seen before," emphasizing that she is the one and only presence for "Humint" and raising anticipation.
Meanwhile, "Humint" opens on Feb. 11 (Wed).
