Rapper Jaekywy issued a statement one month after accusing her ex-lover and KC Label producer Bang Dal of dating violence.
On the 7th, Jaekywy posted on her personal social media, "I apologize to those who felt uncomfortable because of this," she wrote.
Jaekywy said, "I have decided not to pursue legal action. However, I ask that you refrain from Directorly spreading parts of my story that are being exaggerated. Claims such as threats with a weapon or persistent stalking are not true," she said.
She added, "Also, please refrain from excessive criticism or speculation directed at the other party in connection with this matter," and said, "Since this was a personal matter, I want to settle it quietly and move on."
Earlier last month, Jaekywy posted photos and a message on her personal social media saying she had been a victim of dating violence by her ex-lover. In particular, the released photos showed Jaekywy's face and body covered in bruises as if she had been struck hard by someone, sparking shock.
In this regard, she said, "I couldn't go outside for two weeks," and explained the reason for the disclosure: "To those who ask why I posted this on social media and accuse me of pretending to be a victim, earlier someone knocked on my door and entered the password for an hour. On the day I was hit, I was prevented from leaving his house. If I wanted to break up completely, there was no other way. After I posted it, he stopped contacting me. I apologize if this made anyone uncomfortable."
However, Bang Dal denied the dating violence allegations in a rebuttal post on social media, saying, "You're making someone look like a monster using photos of injuries sustained while trying to stop me from rampaging." Jaekywy then posted an additional rebuttal on the 14th on social media: "I got hit so much I felt like something was wrong, and I admit I slapped him. But 99% of the time I was beaten and insulted, yet you only posted what you suffered to push me to ruin."
Regarding this, Jaekywy's agency AOMG said in a statement on the evening of the 15th, "Jaekywy shared with the company that she was a victim of dating violence occurring during the relationship, and the matter will be handled according to legal procedures. Prioritizing the artist's physical and mental safety and recovery, we are providing all necessary support, including legal counsel." AOMG also urged people to refrain from spreading unfounded speculation out of concern for secondary harm and emphasized, "We will work to ensure the artist can work in a safe environment."
