Pop singer Bruno Mars (Bruno Mars) officially returns with his fourth solo studio album, The Romantic, a solo project released about 10 years since his last solo effort.
Bruno Mars's new album will be released worldwide simultaneously on Feb. 27. A numbered limited vinyl produced in limited quantities is currently available for preorder exclusively and will end when sold out.
Along with the album announcement, one of the included songs is expected to be pre-released as a new single on the 9th, generating anticipation.
This new release comes after Bruno Mars's recent global chart success. Die With A Smile, a collaboration with Lady Gaga, earned a Grammy Award and set the record for the fastest to reach 1 billion streams in Spotify history, and it held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Global 200 chart for 18 consecutive weeks.
Also, the collaboration with Rosé, "APT.," was named the most-streamed song worldwide in 2025 by Apple Music and recorded 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global (excluding U.S.) chart and 12 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Global 200 chart. "APT." won Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards and is nominated in three categories at the 68th Grammy Awards: Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Bruno Mars continues to exert a singular influence across the music industry. In Jan. 2025, he became the first artist in Spotify history to surpass 150 million monthly listeners. He also became the first artist in Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) history to have six diamond singles in Oct. 2022, and as of 2026 he has received diamond certification for at least seven songs, including "Just the Way You Are," "Uptown Funk," "Grenade," "That's What I Like," "When I Was Your Man," "Locked Out of Heaven" and "The Lazy Song." In particular, "Just the Way You Are" has achieved 21-times platinum from the RIAA, becoming the highest-certified song in history.
His debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, holds the record for the longest chart run by a solo male artist on the Billboard 200 chart (more than 345 weeks), and Bruno Mars has achieved nine No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 and a total of 30 weeks at No. 1 on the Global 200 chart.
