Actors Yura and Hong Jong Hyun reunited after 12 years.
On the 8th, a video titled 'WGM Jjonga couple reunite after 12 years | releasing the untold stories from that time' was released on Yura's YouTube channel "Yurayura-hae."
Yura and Hong Jong Hyun, who received much love as the "Jjonga couple" on 'We Got Married.' The two appearing together in one frame is the first time in a full 12 years, except for when Hong Jong Hyun appeared as a guest on tvN STORY's "A peculiar history: one meal," on which Yura appeared as a panelist last year.
Hong Jong Hyun tried to appear as a surprise guest but was immediately discovered by Yura. When the production team requested that she come out looking pretty, Yura, who was having makeup applied, discovered Hong Jong Hyun and was so happy she screamed. After finishing makeup, Yura and Hong Jong Hyun received a mission card from the production team to perform a "re-enacted WGM," and they got in a car and moved to the location.
While moving, Yura and Hong Jong Hyun said they often watch old 'WGM' videos. Yura mentioned the video where Hong Jong Hyun made spicy braised chicken and she clapped expressionlessly, and she said, "we really grew up well," which drew laughter with its affectionate tone. Hong Jong Hyun recalled, "I didn't know anything back then," and said, "During the filming period, I once contracted norovirus and kept disappearing while we were shooting at a shopping mall. In particular, Yura mentioned the part in which Hong Jong Hyun appeared on Car, the garden's YouTube channel and filmed an avatar "WGM" with another Yura. Hong Jong Hyun said, "I got a DM from Yura. It said, 'What is this,' and 'Why is there another Yura.' I really thought Yura would come, but I never imagined another Yura would appear," which provoked laughter.
After finishing an activity that recalled 'WGM,' Hong Jong Hyun and Yura reminisced over a meal. Yura said about Hong Jong Hyun's first impression, "I thought he might be mean. He seemed like he would be extremely cold." Hong Jong Hyun acknowledged, "Now that I'm older my face looks a bit kinder. Back then my eye corners were raised and I was thin, so I probably looked colder."
Hong Jong Hyun said about Yura's first impression, "Back then my concept was to walk around the music show waiting room looking for a bride. When I went into Girl's Day's waiting room, I couldn't miss her. Seeing her hiding behind Sojin and shyly embarrassed, I felt, 'I found my bride.' Yura seemed like a shy girl. Unlike me, she was bright and talkative, so I was relieved." To this, Yura said, "That's probably why the producer paired us together," and said that she liked 'WGM' with Hong Jong Hyun.
