KBS is suddenly launching the debate survival variety show "The Logic."
Coming on Jan. 22 (Thu) for its first broadcast, KBS2 "The Logic" (directed by Kim Tae-jun) is a debate survival variety show in which 100 people in Korea who possess sharp "logic" gather and compete solely with logic to choose the "Logic Master." The 100 people from all walks of life across the country who have moved the world with words will live together and compete in various debate missions, likely triggering viewers' dopamine and over-immersion.
Among the 100 "Logic Players" who will take part in this epic-scale debate war are experts from various professions, including religious figures, researchers, CEOs, lawyers, professors and comedians. Meanwhile, not only idol-world leading "brainy" men and women but also veteran competitors who have stood out in survival variety shows are making a mass of challenges, drawing attention.
Leading with Yoo Jeong, a former member of BB Girls who is a "twist brainy turtle-ship," all-round idol and AB6IX member Lee Dae Hwi, and "Berklee drum prodigy" Xdinary Heroes' Geon Il have thrown their hats in as "Logic Players," and survival strong competitors such as "brain rapper" Seo Chul-gu, "top-tier economy YouTuber" Joo Eun-kyu and Seoul National University–educated lawyer Im Hyun-seo are also entering the "real showdown." In addition, Australian-born entertainer Sam Hammington, the "first foreign comedian," and startup CEO Kim Ha-seop (28th class Yeongsu), who gained the nickname "storyteller" by captivating solo women with smooth speech on I'm SOLO, have joined to add interest.
The producers said, "During the residential period, the 100 Logic Players will clash with logic in the 'battlefield of words.' 'The Logic' will be a social experiment-type variety show that goes beyond simple verbal-skill entertainment and debate programs," and added, "Watch how the 100 people who would be second to none in Korea in logic and verbal skill meet the hottest topics in this 'debate battle' and how they persuade and are persuaded by each other. You will become over-immersed in the thrilling fun provided by logic and psychological survival."
