'Festival king' CNBLUE opened 2026 with an upbeat rock sound. After a 1 year and 3 month wait, they returned with a deeper musical identity and explosive energy, ready once again to get audiences moving.
CNBLUE released at 6 p.m. on the 7th through various music sites the full-length third album "3LOGY" (Thrillogy) in full and the music video for the title track "Killer Joy."
This new release is a full-length album presented about 1 year and 3 months after the mini 10th album 'X' released in October 2024, and it foreshadowed the birth of a masterpiece that will instantly quench fans' thirst.
The album title "3LOGY" symbolizes the three members Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jung-shin and Kang Min-hyuk each forming their own musical axis and one system completed in balance. CNBLUE, which has kept its identity as a "band" unchanged since debut, wove the time they have walked, their current concerns, and the direction they will go into one organic story through this album.
In particular, this album is meaningful not only because all members included self-composed songs, but also because, for the first time in CNBLUE history, the three members were credited as "co-producers." The long-accumulated team cohesion and the members' convictions as artists permeate the album and raise its completeness.
The title track "Killer Joy" is a pop-rock song notable for its dramatic, dynamic development based on a modern sensibility, featuring unpredictable dramatic progressions, moments of explosive energy, and a minimal drum beat. The lyrics express CNBLUE's bold ambition to blow away the boredom of repetitive daily life and leave only pure joy.
Killer Joy / my melody / pull it to your chest Shot / (Bang bang) / Killer Joy / burn it all Fire / make a night of frenzy / Killer Joy for you / all worries / Fade away / Oh Killer Joy / Let's play / My name Killer Joy
The accompanying music video sensually depicted the process of CNBLUE's music expanding beyond the screen into a single stage with the audience. The vivid band performance offers viewers an intense sense of liberation and once again proves why they are "performance powerhouses."
So far CNBLUE has showcased overwhelming live skills across stages from college festivals to large-scale festivals without discrimination. Having shouted their trademark "Evabtti" (every body ttwieo) at every show and turned venues into rapturous scenes, expectations are already gathering for the stage they will show with the festival-optimized song "Killer Joy."
