Singer Jang Yoon Jeong confessed she started a new agency while drawing a line with her husband Do Kyung Wan.
On the 31st of last month, a new video titled "So who is the first entertainer of Jang Yoon Jeong's agency?" was released on the YouTube channel "Janggongjang Jang Yoon Jeong."
That day Jang Yoon Jeong opened by saying, "This is the first time I'm saying something like this. I started a company," and Hong Hyun Hee, surprised, asked, "Sister, are you saying you started a company? How can someone join?"
Jang Yoon Jeong lamented, "I haven't talked about this, but it was really complicated. You have to take that popular culture whatever education, take exams, it's no joke," and added, "I've been preparing for quite some time but wondered when I should talk about it."
She explained, "I wanted to try raising the juniors I want to nurture, and it would be good if they were trot singers. These days I write lyrics and compose. I wanted to raise that singer a bit, so that's why I did it."
Following this, Lee Eun Hyung and Hong Hyun Hee also appealed that they wanted to join as affiliated singers, and Hong Hyun Hee described, "The company run by chairman Jang gives a somewhat reassuring feeling." Jang Yoon Jeong said, "I want to create that. I want to make a company that celebrities enjoy so much they don't want to leave."
Hearing this, Hong Hyun Hee asked whether Do Kyung Wan would join, saying, "Wani, is that the case too?", and Jang Yoon Jeong retorted with a laugh, "I didn't accept him. Our paths are different, I'm clear about that. He's not an artist."
Specifically, Jang Yoon Jeong said, "When I said I started a company, he (Do Kyung Wan) was like, 'What about me?' But in my view, a husband joining his wife's company creates an image, so I don't think that's right. I told him to join another company."
Jang Yoon Jeong withheld details saying she has specific plans in mind, but she drew a strict line with her husband Do Kyung Wan. It appears Jang Yoon Jeong will pursue the path of a full-fledged producer, while Do Kyung Wan will continue steadily as a professional host and broadcaster as he does now.
Meanwhile, Jang Yoon Jeong and Do Kyung Wan married in 2013 and have one son and one daughter. Do Kyung Wan joined as a KBS 35th class public broadcaster in 2009 and has continued broadcasting activities after declaring freelance status in 2021. Jang Yoon Jeong and Do Kyung Wan are currently signed to the same agency.<
