Singer Lee Hyori stepped forward to directly dispel misunderstandings about the yoga studio she operates.
Recently a netizen uploaded a video to their Instagram with the caption "Lee Hyori's generously giving yoga studio."
In the video, Lee Hyori distributed manggaetteok, Jeju tangerines and yoga socks to members attending the yoga class. In response, the netizen expressed satisfaction, saying, "They're giving so much," and "Even the photos look like a famous restaurant.. I'll have to go again next month."
Fans who saw this left favorable comments such as "It looks like a relaxed atmosphere," "I took a one-day class and it was so good. The comfort you feel without being told," "It's funny how she hands things out like the owner of a general store," "Not a yoga studio but a salon," and "It's warm and nice."
However, Lee Hyori used the yoga studio's official account to directly explain, "The rice cakes, tangerines and socks over there are all gifts from Ananda Yoga members. I'm not the one giving them."
In the actual video, Lee Hyori handed out manggaetteok and other items while explaining, "(Another) teacher bought them." It appears she commented to preempt any possible misunderstandings.
Meanwhile, Lee Hyori married singer Lee Sang Soon in 2013 and continued her married life in Jeju. Then, in 2024 she purchased a detached house worth about 6 billion won in Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul and moved her residence, and in September of this year she opened a yoga studio, attracting attention.
