Group SEVENTEEN member Mingyu once again proved his presence as a global fashion icon.
On Jan. 7, according to HYBE Music Group label PLEDIS Entertainment Co., Mingyu recently graced the covers of the January issues of Esquire Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand.
In this pictorial, Mingyu perfectly pulled off the luxury brand's 2026 summer men's collection, solidifying his status as the brand's ambassador. From a special look combining a vest with a neck band to a shirt in romantic hues, he revealed fashionable charm through a variety of outfits. Without any notable props, he exuded charisma with free poses and his gaze, showing the makings of a "pictorial master."
In the accompanying interview, Mingyu's characteristic passion and energy were evident. In November last year, he and his members filmed Tiny Desk at NPR's U.S. office, the first K-pop group to do so. He said, "Performing relying only on voice and band sound was unfamiliar at first, but once we did it, it was very fun. I also realized there are many areas I must work harder on," sharing his recollection.
"Someday I want people to immediately recognize, 'This is Mingyu's voice,'" the determination raised expectations for the Escoops x Mingyu live parties to be held in five domestic and international cities. The tour opens on the 23rd–25th at Inspire Arena in Incheon, then continues to Busan, Aichi, Chiba and Kaohsiung. The Incheon show sold out on the day FC membership presale opened, demonstrating their strong ticket power.
SEVENTEEN, which includes Mingyu, recently concluded SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN JAPAN at Japan's four major domes with some 420,000 attendees. After a short break, they will continue their Asia tour in Feb.–Mar. at large stadiums in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and Bulacan.
