The group ILLIT is returning to music show stages thanks to the chart resurgence of "NOT CUTE ANYMORE."
On the 7th, HYBE Music Group label Belift Lab Inc. said ILLIT (Yoonah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) will appear on Mnet's "M Countdown" and SBS's "Inkigayo," which air on the 8th and the 11th, respectively, to perform the title track "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" from their single album.
ILLIT's return to domestic music show stages comes about a month after the group officially ended promotions for the song. It is thanks to the growing interest and response from music fans around the world toward "NOT CUTE ANYMORE."
In fact, "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" has shown fierce staying power. Since its release in November last year, the song has steadily climbed Melon's "Top 100," a tracker of domestic music popularity trends, rising as high as No. 15 (Jan. 4).
The upward trend is also clear on global music charts. In the latest U.S. Billboard charts (dated Jan. 10) released on the 6th, the song ranked 10th on the "Bubbling Under Hot 100," bringing it one step closer to entering the main song chart, the "Hot 100." This differs from the typical pattern where buzz naturally wanes after promotions end.
Also, "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" has remained on Spotify's "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart for five consecutive weeks and has secured positions on the global and U.S. YouTube latest "Weekly trending songs" (tracking period Dec. 26–Jan. 1) charts.
Popularity on short-form platforms has been a powerful catalyst for the song's chart resurgence. Characterized by an addictive rhythm and polished melody, "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" is being used as the backing track for the viral "hood job shot challenge," driving trends among global listeners in their teens and 20s.
The song has held the top spot on YouTube Korea's "daily shorts trending songs" chart for 25 days (Jan. 5) and has ranked highly in several countries, including the U.S. (No. 2), Canada (No. 3), the U.K. (No. 5) and Australia (No. 6). Content using "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" as background music has exceeded 660,000 videos on TikTok alone through the previous day (the 6th), combining original and "Sped up" versions.
Positive reviews from foreign media have followed. The Hollywood Reporter selected "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" among its "40 best K-pop songs of 2025," saying the song "matures the group's music and atmosphere in step with the members' growth."
