MW Entertainment (CEO Lee Won-min) announced its launch in the music industry.
B1A4, Oh My Girl, ONF and others were discovered and nurtured into leading domestic groups by CEO Lee Won-min, who today (7th) officially established MW Entertainment.
CEO Lee Won-min founded WM Entertainment Co. in 2008 and discovered and developed B1A4, Oh My Girl, ONF, Lee Chaeyeon, USphere and others, earning a reputation as the Midas touch of the music industry.
Last August, when news broke of his split with major shareholder RBW, CEO Lee Won-min launched MW Entertainment at the Mangwon-dong building that had built up the original WM and is reported to have reunited with long-time executives and staff. As the first move, the company plans to intensify preparations for USphere's comeback this year and the debut of a new boy group.
In particular, USphere, which CEO Lee Won-min introduced about 10 years after Oh My Girl, is a group he holds special affection for; after smooth consultations with RBW, MW Entertainment acquired the exclusive contract and trademark rights and will begin full-scale album preparations aiming for a comeback in the first half.
MW Entertainment CEO Lee Won-min confidently said, "With 30 years of insight, experience and expertise as a foundation, I will make this a year of new leaps. Please look forward to the birth of new K-pop stars who will lead K-pop trends with not only musicality but also skill and character."
Meanwhile, as news of the establishment of MW Entertainment led by CEO Lee Won-min draws attention from many industry insiders and fans, expectations are high for USphere's comeback.
