BTS topped the Billboard chart again ahead of their full-group comeback.
According to the latest chart (Jan. 10) released by U.S. music outlet Billboard on Jan. 6, the track "Run BTS" from the anthology album "Proof," released in June 2022, topped the World Digital Song Sales chart. Following its No. 1 position on iTunes "Top Songs" in a total of 61 countries/regions including Brazil, Finland, Mexico and Greece as of 6 a.m. on Jan. 2, it also achieved results on major U.S. music charts.
This is the result of voluntary streaming by ARMY, the fandom. Fans expressed expectations for the new release by listening to the group's past songs. Previously, "Anpanman," a track from the group's 2018 studio album "LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear'," also reached No. 1 on the World Digital Song Sales chart (Dec. 20, 2025). RM's casual live broadcast led to the surprise reentry of his solo track "Nuts" from his second solo album "Right Place, Wrong Person" at No. 2 on the same chart (Dec. 27, 2025).
Members' solo songs have also been consistently successful on Billboard's component charts. Jungkook's solo single "Seven (feat. Latto)" ranked No. 148 on the Global 200 and No. 90 on the Global (excluding U.S.). Jin's second solo album "Echo" title track "Don't Say You Love Me" ranked No. 126, and Jimin's second solo album "MUSE" title track "Who" ranked No. 152 on the Global (excluding U.S.). BTS's "Proof" landed at No. 9 on the World Albums chart. Jimin's second solo album "MUSE" reached No. 18 on the same chart.
After news of BTS's new release was reported, rises were also seen on the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify. On the "Weekly Top Songs Global" (tracking period: Dec. 26, 2025–Jan. 1, 2026), "Who" was No. 32, "Don't Say You Love Me" No. 38, "Seven (feat. Latto)" No. 62, and V's duet with Park Hyo-shin "Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)" No. 102. These songs rose 48, 36, 54 and 80 spots, respectively, from the previous week. Rank increases continued on the "Weekly Top Albums Global" for the same period. "Proof" rose 20 spots to No. 35, Jungkook's first solo album "GOLDEN" climbed 34 spots to No. 77, "MUSE" jumped 51 spots to No. 117, and "Echo" rose 24 spots to No. 52.
BTS will release their fifth studio album on Mar. 20. It will be their first full-group comeback in about 3 years and 9 months. They have installed a new-release logo sculpture on the central staircase of Seoul's Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, drawing the attention of passersby.
