Actor Hwang Shin-hye's daughter, Lee Jin-i, shared the heartbreaking news.
Lee Jin-i recently said, "My oldest friend and younger sibling has gone on a distant journey. She was fearful but braver than anyone, a thankful friend who protected me a lot with her small body. More than any other existence, she was the biggest presence to me, and the memories of sharing comfort and happiness with her remain the most."
She went on to say, "She came to me when I was in elementary school, and for eighteen years we grew up together; Max was always my steadfast guardian angel," and she added, "She was a friend who quietly stood by me through the darkest and brightest days of my life," expressing her longing.
She added, "Max, thank you for teaching me such great love. Thank you for showing me that I can love this deeply," and she said with a heavy heart, "I already miss you so much; I want to touch you just one more time; this house without you still feels so unfamiliar and empty. The place where you were is so big that that empty space is not easily filled."
She also expressed her affection, saying, "Still, I am grateful that you were no longer in pain and could peacefully take your last breath in my arms. The beautiful memories we made together, I will hold them gratefully, dearly, and for a long time, and I will love you forever."
