'No Tail to Tell' a mysterious romance between a gumiho and a human is coming.
The new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'No Tail to Tell' premiering on the 16th (Fri) (written by Park Chanyoung·Jo Ayoung, directed by Kim Jeongkwon, planned by StudioS, produced by Binge Works·MOG Film) released on the 7th the main poster capturing the picturesque chemistry between the gumiho Eunho (Kim Hyeyoon) who cannot help but fall in love and the human Kang Siyul (Lomon) who cannot help but fall for her.
'No Tail to Tell' is a rescue fantasy romance about an MZ gumiho who does not want to become human and a narcissistic human who tumbles into misfortune. On a new gumiho worldview unlike any seen before, a witty and inventive story that moves between reality and imagination unfolds. Heralding the thrilling meeting of Kim Hyeyoon and Lomon, it is counted as a highly anticipated sure-fire hit to open SBS drama in 2026. As proof, Good Data Corporation FUNdex released rankings for the fourth week of December and the first week of January showing the series in the top 10 for two consecutive weeks in the TV drama sector, conveying the intense buzz even before airing.
Meanwhile, in the revealed main poster, the appearance of Eunho and Kang Siyul, as if stepped out of an oriental painting, seizes the eye. Eunho, who has desperately tried not to become human and has lived as a gumiho for about 900 years, has a visual not much different from the 'MZ youth' living in today's world. But the multiple tails scattering behind Eunho and the mysterious purple orb blooming on her hand stimulate the imagination. Above all, the phrase written over them — 'With this looks! With this charm! It's only natural that you fall for me. As you know, I'm a gumiho, right?' — evokes Eunho's lovely and haughty voice. The mysterious romance of Eunho and Kang Siyul, entwined from 'dislike' to 'destiny,' becomes even more anticipated.
Kim Hyeyoon takes on the role of Eunho, an MZ gumiho who does not want to become human, continuing the lineage of K-gumiho. One day, having lived carefully to avoid doing even small good deeds for fear of becoming human and avoiding major evil deeds for fear of losing her millennium power, an unexpected incident shakes the fox life and death of Eunho. Kim Hyeyoon said, "When I read the script, the character called 'MZ gumiho' felt attractive, and I thought I could show many new sides," explaining why she chose 'No Tail to Tell' as her next work after 'Lovely Runner.' Regarding co-star Lomon, she added, "We have many overlapping acquaintances, so he felt familiar as if I already knew him. He is a very kind, upright and passionate actor," raising expectations.
Lomon takes on the challenge of a romantic comedy as Kang Siyul, a world-class soccer player who may be confident but is never lazy. In his perfect life, where he roamed the field as a leading forward for famous overseas clubs, the gumiho Eunho tackles him. Lomon, who also said he was interested in the script, revealed his reason for choosing the work: "On the surface Eunho and Kang Siyul seem strong and keep bickering, but at some point they seep into each other and in the process fill each other's loneliness and wounds. It's a work you can watch with light laughs yet it has emotional depth, so I was curious how this relationship would be built." He added, "The chemistry with actor Kim Hyeyoon was not something we tried to force but was naturally created on set.
