The country's first K-bakery survival show MBN 'Cheonhajeppang' has released the poster and main trailer announcing the start of the nation's first and largest baking and pastry survival competition.
MBN 'Cheonhajeppang,' which will premiere on Feb. 1 at 9:40 p.m., is the country's first 'K-bakery survival' to select the world's best baker and to lead the craze for 'K-bread,' which has become a trend beyond simple food. From masters gathered from Paldo Co., to world-class pâtissiers, to underground bakers with novel recipes, 72 bakers and pastry chefs from around the world will remove their ranks and compete in a mega global baking and pastry showdown that will spread the power of 'K-bread' to surprise the world in the first half of 2026.
The 'Cheonhajeppang' poster and main trailer released today show the overwhelming scale and differentiated charm of the country's first 'K-bakery survival,' drawing attention. First, the poster for 'Cheonhajeppang' depicts the sweet first encounter between the bread, the protagonist of a fiery war, and MC Lee Da-hee, drawing intense interest. MC Lee Da-hee, holding a pink macaron in her mouth in a striking image, foreshadows that she will fully play the role of dream maker in the K-bakery survival 'Cheonhajeppang' that will change the world. Expectations are rising for what kind of vigorous performance MC Lee Da-hee's soft charisma will show in the sweet-and-deadly survival 'Cheonhajeppang.'
The 'Cheonhajeppang' main trailer opens with the grandeur of the country's first mega baking survival. Contestants entering the 'Cheonhajeppang' set, where 300 pieces of cutting-edge baking and pastry equipment of 32 types such as a 1,000-pyeong set, convection ovens, dough conditioners and pie rollers are installed, applaud and cheer at the immense scale. The contestants leave exclamations such as "This is really amazing," "The scale is crazy," and "This is my first baking and pastry survival," signaling the start of a fierce baking and pastry war.
Next, scenes show 72 contestants composed of world competition winners, underground masters, super rookies, hot-spot eateries, overseas talents who are their countries' pride, and three-star bakers pouring out their skills as they bake. The contestants express resolute determination with lines such as "I can't think of anything but bread," "Right now it feels like my whole life," and "I have nothing to lose."
But soon one contestant plunges a baker's knife into the cutting board and, saying "It won't come out," desponds. Another contestant laments over a lump of burnt sugar, saying "It's too strong. It's not easy," increasing the sense of crisis.
The production team said, "Anyone can try, but not everyone can succeed, since baking and pastry require perfection, and 'Cheonhajeppang' will show the essence of a perfect cooking show," and added, "Please cheer for the first start of the bakery survival 'Cheonhajeppang,' which will turn the world upside down, on Feb. 1 at 9:40 p.m."
Meanwhile, 'Cheonhajeppang' has attracted attention as the dream team production staff with know-how in survival and food variety teamed up in a joint investment with K-Bakery Global, a leader in the global K-bakery industry. It is scheduled to air on Feb. 1 at 9:40 p.m.<
