After receiving the grand prize, comedian Kim Sook, who mentioned Park Narae in her acceptance remarks, expressed hurt feelings toward the members of Save Me! Holmes, saying she was left alone after the award.
The MBC entertainment program Save Me! Holmes released a short video titled "This is real variety! 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards losers' on-site reactions" on its official channel on the 7th.
In the video, Joo Woo-jae entered the recording and congratulated Kim Sook, saying, "There is really a big deal. She won the grand prize." Kim Sook won the grand prize at the 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards.
As the panelists applauded and congratulated Kim Sook, Joo Woo-jae shouted, "Wait a minute," and pointed to Jang Dong-min and Yang Se-hyung, saying, "Is it only here? You two received it too. There was for the first time an award called the grand prize loser. You two received it."
Yang Se-hyung smiled and explained, "People around me thought everyone received it because we were on camera a lot," and Joo Woo-jae added, "It looked so good because it felt like all five of us were receiving it together."
Afterward, Kim Sook expressed hurt feelings toward the Save Me! Holmes members. She said, "I'm a little hurt. Where did everyone go?" and explained the situation at the time of the award, "After it ended, each team was taking photos, but I was the only one standing alone on the stage. The 'My Little Television' team was over there, the 'I Live Alone' team was over there, and they were taking group photos. Why does our team have no one?"
Joo Woo-jae added with a laugh, "The CP came and said only Sook and he took photos together. But the two of them do suit each other well."
Earlier, upon receiving the grand prize, Kim Sook drew attention by mentioning Park Narae, who had suspended activities amid a private life controversy, and expressing gratitude. At the time of her acceptance, Kim Sook said, "I came to applaud, but thank you so much for giving me such a big award. Actually, as recently as last night I was debating whether to attend, and what if I hadn't come? To receive such a great award. This year is exactly the 30th anniversary. I joined the broadcaster at 20 and I'm now 50, and I had intended to celebrate privately by myself. I'm so, so grateful that so many people congratulated me, and Save Me! Holmes has been running for seven years. I feel like I haven't been able to officially say thank you for the past seven years. It seems they gave me this award to give me the time to do that."
She then thanked the production team and writers, adding, "Especially my Save Me! Holmes family. Our very special default option Jang Dong-min coordinator, Se-hyung, Se-chan, Woo-jae, and team leader Narae, thank you so, so much. I think I received the award because of those people." After Park Narae suspended activities following allegations of her former manager's abusive behavior and the 'injection aunt' controversy, Kim Sook's public mention prompted various reactions.
