On Thursday the 8th, MBC's 'Save me! Homes' (directors: Jung Da-hee, Nam You Joung, Heo Ja-yoon, Kim Seong-nyeon / hereafter 'Homes') will feature actors Lee Sang-yeop, Jang Dong-min and Joo Woo-jae heading out to Yeouido for the fourth installment of neighborhoods specialized by occupation.
This episode, welcoming the new year 2026, will go on location to east Yeouido, the financial heart of Korea, to look into the economic outlook for the year. Actors Lee Sang-yeop, Jang Dong-min and Joo Woo-jae will meet various people working on the securities market to hear vivid stories, and will survey everything in east Yeouido, including homes, offices and restaurants.
Stock investment expert and writer Park Min-su joined the studio. Better known by the nickname 'Choi Go Min-su,' he is a 28-year Yeouido office worker who also works as a stock instructor and writer. He has appeared on several YouTube channels such as 'Chimchakman' and 'Ppanibottle,' drawing attention for his knowledge across various fields and his tireless wit.
The three survey a 1978-built apartment, where a Yeouido native couple lives, located a five-minute walk from Yeouido Station. At the time it was a rare large-sized apartment, prompting Kim Sook to recall, "When I was a rookie it was the best apartment in Yeouido," and "Many people who worked at the broadcasting station lived there," which Yang Se-hyung replied to with "So you must have been a rookie in '78," eliciting laughter. Through an interview inside the home with the original securities man, a homeowner who has worked in the securities industry since 1989, they will also hear realistic stories of Yeouido's securities market past and present.
Next, they visit the headquarters of a securities company representing Yeouido. Upon entering the lobby, a 360-degree large stock fluctuation display showing current market conditions catches the eye. Through a working employee's office vlog, the real daily lives of securities workers will be revealed, including monitors installed six to a station and an in-house robot cafe. At the company cafeteria visited through an employee perk, people are surprised to learn that, based on employee prices, they can enjoy various health-boosting menu items such as tuna dismantling shows and lobster for as little as 5,500 won. Celebrity news representative Joo Woo-jae, who tasted the food, marveled, "This isn't an imitation of pork ribs. It's really delicious," and Jang Dong-min also delivered a feast-like mukbang that left the studio in stitches.
Meanwhile, when asked about stock investment know-how by a securities company employee, they introduced the so-called 'buying when a friend cries' method, saying they buy when the market falls and a friend cries, drawing attention. Not to be outdone, Yang Se-hyung shared a heartbreaking stock club anecdote, saying, "There is a method called the Kang Jae-jun trading method," which ended after one time, and other cast members continued stories about currently 'weeping stocks,' adding empathy and laughter.
