On the 7th broadcast of the vN STORY variety show "What's the point of leaving it" episode 24, actress Lee Yo-won appeared as a guest.
That day Lee Young-ja asked, "I heard you are close to the couple Lee Byung-hun and Rhee Minjung." Lee Yo-won said, "Our sons attended elementary school together and we became close as parents. They used to play ice hockey together but now they only play basketball," she said.
Lee Young-ja also asked, "Are you the type to be overzealous about parenting?" Lee Yo-won said, "Absolutely not. He does it because he likes it and I just support him," adding, "But I can't even get him to exercise. I can't be the supportive mom," she lamented.
Pak Se-ri empathized with Lee Yo-won, saying, "When there are competitions you have to travel nationwide, and a mother's life is on the highway."
Lee Yo-won confessed, "With hockey and golf the children need equipment, so I have to buy it and drive them," adding, "When we ride together and dawdle I really get angry. Our relationship gets strained and it's so hard that I felt a strong sense of reality."
She went on, "Now the children like a mother who works. They don't nag, so when I go out they're happy," which drew laughter.
