Blitzway Entertainment (hereafter Blitzway) is set to actively pursue synergies between actor management and a music label with the start of 2026.
Because it is unusual in the industry for an actor-focused management company to directly own and operate a music label while running both areas concurrently, Blitzway's latest move reads as a different trajectory from traditional entertainment expansion methods.
Unlike major domestic agencies that built idol intellectual property based on music businesses and then expanded into acting, Blitzway accumulated content IP competitiveness centered on actor management. On that foundation, Blitzway acquired the music label KLAP last year and brought the record business in-house, creating a basis to operate actor and music IP not as separate areas but within a single business structure.
The recent addition of Doh Kyung Soo to the Blitzway family appears poised to be a signal that the business structure Blitzway has built can be successfully deployed. Doh Kyung Soo, who has been active musically as a member of the global K-POP group EXO and as a solo artist while steadily expanding his filmography as an actor, is currently reviewing his next acting project and will also continue with a solo album and performances during the year.
Blitzway Chairman Bae Seong-ung said, "Rather than approaching actors and music as separated businesses, the core is to design them integrally from an IP perspective," and added, "2026 will be the year to see what competitiveness the structure Blitzway has built actually demonstrates in the market."
A structure that runs acting and music together aligns with the recent content environment, in which artist-level projects are increasing. In a market trend that requires designing various activities simultaneously around a single IP, Blitzway is expected to leave clearer and simpler collaboration cases. This change is also likely to serve as a foundation that naturally expands influence in relationships with producers, platforms and overseas partners.
