The versatile actor Park Jeongmin teases a charm different from his previous filmography through "Humint" (provided/distributed by: NEW | produced by: Oeyunaegang Co., Ltd. | director: Ryu Seung-wan).
The film "Humint" is a story of people with different aims clashing in Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are submerged in the cold sea of ice.
Having delivered more than audiences expected in each project, Park Jeongmin returns to theaters during the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday as Park Geon, an executive of North Korea's Ministry of State Security, in "Humint." About "Humint," Park Jeongmin said, "It was a genre I liked since childhood, but I secretly thought I would never be able to appear in this kind of work. I was surprised to receive the offer, and after reading the script I thought it might be difficult but would be fun," showing his special affection for the project.
Park Geon is a figure dispatched to Vladivostok after receiving a new mission. He has built achievements through cool judgment and agile movements in everything, but a crack begins to form in his heart because of Cha Seon-hwa, whom he meets by chance. The released stills capture a sharp and sensitive gaze not seen in his previous works. Director Ryu Seung-wan said, "I wanted a rough, beast-like feeling that only Park Jeongmin could do. Audiences will be able to see a 'Park Jeongmin' they really have never seen before," raising expectations for the unfamiliar face Park Jeongmin will show.
Meanwhile, showcasing Park Jeongmin's intense presence, "Humint" opens in theaters nationwide on Feb. 11 (Wed). <
