MONSTA X member Juheon opened the curtain on his solo comeback with fans.
On the 5th, Juheon communicated with global fans by holding a special comeback live on his official YouTube channel to commemorate the release of his second mini album, "光 (INSANITY)". This live was prepared to spotlight Juheon's solo new release, released after 2 years and 8 months, and to interact with fans in real time.
Appearing in a striking red robe styling that emitted an intense mood, Juheon opened with live performances of the tracks "광 (Gwang)" and "Fear," unleashing energy reminiscent of a concert venue. After the stage, Juheon said, "Today I greet you as a solo artist. Just two hours ago at 6 p.m., my second mini album, '光 (INSANITY),' was released," offering an emotional greeting to Monbebe (official fan club name).
In the talk segment that followed, Juheon spoke at length about the new release. He explained the album's main theme, "광(光)," saying, "It contains both meanings: 'mad 광' and 'shining 광.'" Asked when he is most mad and shining, he replied, "It's now. Right now while I'm with Monbebe, this moment is the most mad and shining for me," delivering deep emotion. When fans left concerned comments asking, "When do you sleep?" amid Juheon's relentless hard work, he showed his passion, saying, "I'll sleep when I'm dead. This is just the beginning, so please cheer for me so I can run harder."
An album unboxing segment he hosted himself also drew attention. Juheon revealed various concept album components and photos while sharing behind-the-scenes details, and as he introduced an album that included a towel symbolizing a boxer, he expressed pride in this new release.
Afterward, Juheon reappeared in techwear styling and thrilled viewers. He continued with the title track "STING (Feat. Muhammad Ali)" and the album track "Bite," showcasing explosive skill and amplifying immersion with staging reminiscent of a music video. Juheon shared the behind-the-scenes reasoning for inserting Muhammad Ali's voice into the title track, saying, "Fans usually describe me as 'honey bee' or 'bee,' but I wondered how to portray my stage presence as more like a hornet, and I was inspired by Muhammad Ali's famous words. Out of respect for the legend, it's an honor that his voice can be included."
About Tiger JK, who participated in the feature on "Until the sky touches the head (Feat. Tiger JK)," he expressed deep respect, saying, "It was an infinite honor to work with my role model. I sent and received verses and updated them, and I was truly impressed by the renewed music he sent back," and he also did not forget to thank Rei, who participated in the pre-release track "Push (Feat. Rei of IVE)." Regarding the members' support, he added with sincere gratitude that warmed hearts, "The members all sent so much support. Thanks to the MONSTA X members and Monbebe, I am able to be here."
Finally, Juheon said, "I worried a lot about whether it was acceptable to come out with intense music at the start of the new year, but I thought it would be best to show what I do well. '光 (INSANITY)' is an album like my signature," and expressed his 2026 aspirations: "I hope my songs will be a New Year's gift to Monbebe, and this year I want to show more through various stages such as festivals." He then closed the live by perfectly proving his vocal abilities following his rap performance with the stage of "NO BRAIN NO PAIN."
MONSTA X's Juheon released his second mini album, '光 (INSANITY),' on the 5th and has begun full-fledged comeback activities, and is expected to meet fans through various music shows and diverse content.
