Rhee Minjung mentioned the beauty that had been a topic of conversation since her childhood amid her flashy banter.
On Jan. 5 a video titled 'Manjeongsin-euroneun chomyeon Rhee Minjung Yoo Ji-tae | [Zzanbro EP.126]' was posted on the YouTube channel Zzanbro.
That day Rhee Minjung shared a humorous anecdote related to her husband Lee Byung-hun. She said, "My husband calls me by the nickname 'female Shin Dong-yeob,'" adding, "We like similar things and tease people in the same way," which drew laughter. She continued, "Around the time I was about to give birth, I felt like getting out of the house quickly. I thought, 'Should I try doing something like Zzanbro?' and my husband said, 'If you do it, you could beat Dong-yeob hyung. Sitting-down shows are the same,'" she recounted.
In response Shin Dong-yeob said, "When you go to Lee Byung-hun and Rhee Minjung's home they always make delicious food. They are really nice people," and Rhee Minjung added, "In the early years of our marriage we lived with my in-laws at their main home and the food was really good."
The conversation naturally moved to 'main-house episodes.' When Shin Dong-yeob mentioned a happening at Lee Byung-hun's family home, Rhee Minjung at first seemed to defend him, saying, "Did you tell such a dirty lie?" then added, "Anyway, I gave them a new one," which added to the laughter. Shin Dong-yeob fired back, "It was a luxury brand underwear," prompting a roar of laughter on set.
Rhee Minjung also explained how she started playing golf. She said, "On the first day our son Jun-ho went to kindergarten, I stayed home alone and cried for about an hour," and added, "About a month later I thought, 'I should learn something for the time without my son,' so I started golf. It's already been six years." When Shin Dong-yeob said, "He struggled because you kept beating Lee Byung-hun. He felt burdened by critiques of his form," Rhee Minjung replied, "It wasn't just for fun. The thrill from three years ago is still vivid," and joked, "I live grateful that God gave my husband everything for acting."
When the cast members said in unison, "Rhee Minjung is unusually down-to-earth among actresses," she explained, "I grew up with my older brother so I was always among boys. I was good at games and used to playing with boys, so it was comfortable."
Questions about her appearance followed. In response to the question, "Were you pretty from a young age?" Rhee Minjung laughed and said, "My mother was like, 'Here she goes again,' and found it bothersome," and honestly shared her past, "In fourth to fifth grade I gained so much weight that my weight was similar to now. I went through a rapid growth spurt then and started dieting when I entered middle and high school."
After the broadcast viewers showed enthusiastic interest with reactions such as, "It's amazing that her weight in fourth grade was similar to now," "The nickname 'female Shin Dong-yeob' fits perfectly," and "Rhee Minjung's personality is really straightforward."
